Our Philosophy
As operator-turned consultants, we believe meaningful innovation only happens with hands-on involvement at venture companies. A venture does not necessarily have to be brand new. It may be a revamp of an existing business using digital tech (turnaround), an intrapreneurial venture at a large corporation, or entrepreneurship through acquisition. It also does not need to aim for unicorn status; a zebra can be fine. It also does not necessarily require high-tech.
But one thing is for sure. In any of the above cases, we believe it is our responsibility to provide positive impacts through the businesses we create and support. We define positive impact to be the vitalization of regional economies. With this, we created ShibuLA Ventures where we act as the bridge that connects regional economies with urban resources and global opportunities alongside like-minded clients in order to develop inclusive, impact-driven innovation ecosystems.
